More about the Romeriksbunad L40
The first Romeriksbunad that was created in 1920s. It was totally without embroideries. Then, in 1932 Borghild Tranum Rĝer found a reticule in Ullensaker. The embroideries on this reticule is used in the L40-model. The first bunad was shown in 1932. It was red with yellow embroideri on the bodice and apron. The work continued, and in 1940 it was completed.
During the war it was difficult to get the yellow yarn, and some bunads was embroideried with red yarn, and even in black wool.  You can see two of these bunads here.

The L40-bunad is made in blue, green, red and blue-green. The most used color is blue.

It is made 2 different types of silver to the Romerike bunads.
