Tinn Bunad from Tinn in Telemark
 This
is my good friend, Unni in her Tinn-bunad. You can also see her on the
next picture. This picture was taken on my wedding day February 17. 2001.

is the back on Unnis Tinn bunad.

 Unni
got her Tinn bunad this
year, and she is as proud as can be in this beautiful bunad. She got it from her
husband Bjørn for her 50th. birthday. The silver and other accesories are gifts
from children, grandchildren and friends for her birthday. The first time she
used it was 17. mai 2000.

The back on the Tinn bunad is very special. |
This bunad has beautiful rose-embroideries on the bodice, apron and skirt, made by free hand!
It is made after the costume that replaced the old "Skjælingstakk" in the middle of 1800s. The bodice in bright green wool with black velvet. The skirt is in black wool.
