I saw this Svalbard bunad in Ski in Akershus, miles and miles from Svalbard.

Even Svalbard has its own bunad! The bunad was finished in 1978. The "mother" of the bunad is Elsa Knutsen from Bø in Vesterålen, who has spent years on Svalbard. Here you can se Linda and Kjell Are in their bunads.

To wear this bunad, you have to have stayed on Svalbard all four seasons of the year!
